The Project Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of projects, ensuring that they are completed within budget and on time. This role involves financial monitoring, risk management, and performance reporting. The Project Controller will work closely with project managers, finance teams, and senior management to ensure accurate financial tracking and risk identification!

You will Need.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in project controlling, financial management, or a similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CMA) is a plus.

  • Experience with financial reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel) and risk management frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000).

Key Deliverables and Milestones:

  • Approved Project Controlling function charter.

  • Standardized budgeting and reporting templates.

  • Feedback from pilot projects and process refinement.

  • Full implementation across all projects.

  • Comprehensive financial reporting framework and KPIs.

Key Tools and Systems:

  • ERP Systems: SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics.

  • Financial Reporting Tools: Power BI, Tableau, Excel.

  • Risk Management Frameworks: COSO, ISO 31000.

What you need to do:

  • Financial Monitoring: Track project budgets, costs, and expenditures. Ensure that financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor project financial performance and address any issues that arise.

  • Performance Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including budget vs. actuals, project profitability, and cost to complete. Develop financial dashboards and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with project teams, finance teams, and senior management to ensure accurate financial tracking and risk identification. Provide regular updates on financial health, project performance, and risk mitigation.

  • Process Definition: Establish standardized processes for project financial control, including budget planning and approval, cost tracking and reporting, risk identification and mitigation, and performance reporting.

  • Tool Selection: Identify and select software tools for project cost tracking, budgeting, and reporting. Implement project management software for milestone tracking and project alignment.

  • Team Training: Conduct training sessions for key stakeholders on new processes and tools. Set clear KPIs and performance metrics to measure project success.

  • Continuous Improvement: Implement real-time monitoring tools and predictive analytics to proactively manage project risks and financial variances. Conduct regular post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to improve financial control processes.
